A young Soldier looks lost in his thoughts and wandering with courage and character, we put ourselves on the line to defend our freedom, and so many have paid the ultimate sacrifice. This capture sums up the atmosphere and spirit of the Black Country Living Museum’s 1940s Weekend. And also, reminds me of the D-Day 75th-anniversary tributes for this year !!! Harry Billinge; who is now 93 years of age and a true veteran well pays is tributes on D-Day 75th-anniversary remembrance-day. He said: "Don't thank me and don't say I'm a hero. "I'm no hero, I was lucky. I'm here. "All the heroes are dead and I'll never forget them as long as I live.". I Salute you, Harry, for those words and let us not forget all the men who gave their ultimate lives so that we may be free. Many kind thanks for all your comments and compliments, my good Flickr Friends - And may we never forget the sacrifices for those you laid their lives down for us!
