The Way of QiGong by Kenneth Cohen - Certainly not a quick read but this is a great place to start, thorough, comprehensive and fascinating. This a must for those interested in the subject. Chinese Medical QiGong Therapy by Jerry Alan Johnson - If you are interested in studying or learning more about Chinese medicine, this is your book. Every sentence of every paragraph contains valuable information. This is a VERY comprehensive book on Chinese energetic anatomy and the best I have seen for studying Chinese qi gong theory/therapy. The Spice Tree by Nisha Katona - This is probably the easiest to understand Indian cookery book out there. Indian cooking for nerds. The recipes are simple, and the spice tree concept she developed telling you which spices and other ingredients to combine and how to treat/cook with them is very easy to understand. The recipes in the book can be made by anyone, regardless of skill and don’t require lengthy preparation. Courtiers by Lucy Worsley - I had no idea that the early Georgian court was so stuffy and formal. Overall being a courtier sounds fairly miserable from a modern perspective. Court life sounds boring and miserable for every one involved, including even the King and Queen. At any rate, this is entertaining history, gossipy without being frivolous, and I definitely learned a lot.
