There are now several adult and juvie Hummer species sampling whatever plants are now in bloom. Their selection here is this Lady Slipper. It is a drought tolerant succulent that is native to Mexico, and is commonly used in frost free zones of our southwestern states. Arizona also has the most species of Hummers to be seen in the US. IDing them can now be challenging with so many juvies being active. I'm outside of my familiarity zone regarding this. Most of my shots are of flying birds... they seldom perch when feeding.
