I took the short trip over to Brownsville MN for the final tundra swan performance this fall. Normally this would be the peak week for seeing tundra swans here, with numbers peaking over 20,000 birds, but a recent record-cold snap sent most swans heading east to Chesapeake Bay early. There were just a few stragglers left today to feed in a cold steady rain. Yesterday's forecast was predicting sunny skies for this morning, so you can see how fickle November weather is here in the Driftless Region.
