"Mary Mary Quite Contrary How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells And pretty maids all in a row" the Mary that's being referred to is Blood Mary aka Mary Tudor. The silver bells and cockle shells are both types of torture instruments used in her time period and lastly, the 'pretty maids' are guillotines So there's your lesson of the day, beware of old nursery rhymes.
