This lady friend of mine lives with her other pals and lambs in the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History on an island, Bygdøy. This island is part of Norway`s capital Oslo. I used to live here before. Not in the museum, but in the city of Oslo. We almost had daily walks in the museum, and now, when we have moved more south, we sometimes takes the trip back just to visit my old pals: the sheep, the lambs, the cows and calfs, the pigs and horses. And the hens. I specially love watching them, imagining if I could get hold... I love being here. The museum has a huge outdoor area, with timber buildings dating hundreds of years back and from different parts of Norway, showing how people lived and managed life before. From live stock `til plants and herbs and fruit trees and working equipment. They have newer buildings as well, from different times. The 18th, 19th, 20th century. Like an old pharmacy dating a hundred and fifty years back, with plants and herbs they used for medicine (dangerous my mom says.) They have a lot of nice, weird, strange, interesting stuff of small and big to watch and be interested in. Dolls, chairs, magazines, traktors, an old gasoline station, an old prison...almost whatever you can think of. And Gol Stave church dating back to 1212. This is the favorite of tourists visiting. My mom used to live with a Golden retriever called Johannes before my brother Rex and I arrived. Johannes loved this church. He used to stay outside, looking through the grilles of the entrance, taking in the details of sight and smell, thinking of something, making his mind up about something. He was this kind of personality that would recognize if you organized your hangings on the wall from one of his visits until the next. Well. I could go on a long time about this place. One of my best places to be. I will stop telling for now, and hope I did`t bother you with all of this. I just wish you could take your four-legged friend for a walk and enjoy it here. Oh, there is one more thing I want to share. There is a little fox living here as well. She is almost tame and comes sometimes to watch what I am doing, and she follows me around. One time she turned up with a red children´s toy in her mouth, eager to play. My mom won`t let me near her though. She is a little worried about what could happen. She is so pretty and cute this little fox girl. Hope you will have nice walks and meet some of your friends in the coming week, Nick (My mom has posted a photo of the fox in comment below.)
