PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (January 4, 2018) Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii Commanding Officer Capt. Richard D. Hayes, III, presents a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Gold Star in Lieu of the Second Award) to Builder First Class (SCW) David S. Drean, Jan. 4, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The award is for “…professional achievement while serving as Deputy Shop Supervisor and Training Petty Officer, NAVFAC Hawaii from November 2014 to December 2017. Drean meticulously led an integrated workforce of 8 civilian and 11 military personnel in the execution and planning of 110 minor projects. His proactive leadership resulted in quality project completion with zero safety mishaps saving over $100,000 in labor costs. Additionally, he took charge of the Seabee Division’s Training Program facilitating and managing more than 3,168 training hours for 22 personnel.
