Margot Elise Robbie ( MAR-goh ROB-ee; born 2 July 1990) is an Australian actress and producer. She started her career by appearing in Australian independent films in the late 2000s. She was later cast in the soap opera Neighbours (2008–2011), which earned her two Logie Award nominations. After moving to the United States, Robbie starred in the short-lived ABC drama series Pan Am (2011–2012). She made her big screen debut in Richard Curtis's romantic comedy-drama film About Time (2013) and co-starred in Martin Scorsese's biographical black comedy The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). Robbie appeared in the romantic-drama World War II film, Suite Française (2014) and in The Big Short (2015). She co-starred in the romantic comedy-drama film, Focus (2015) and starred in the science-fiction film, Z for Zachariah (2015). She portrayed Jane Porter in the action-adventure film The Legend of Tarzan (2016), DC Comics villain Harley Quinn in the superhero film Suicide Squad (2016), Daphne de Sélincourt, wife of Winnie the Pooh author A.A. Milne, in the drama film Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017). She received critical acclaim for her performance as figure skater Tonya Harding in the biographical film I, Tonya (2017), receiving a nomination at the 75th Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Comedy or Musical. She has won a People's Choice Award and has been nominated for an MTV Movie Award. She appeared on Time' magazine's 2017 Time 100 list.
